Beer Can Island (Apollo Beach)

 

If you do not want to travel far but would love a peaceful day on a sand beach island,  beer can island is the perfect getaway.  Just a few short miles from you pick up location at Simmons park, you will be at a beautiful island with white sand beaches.  Have a picnic lunch, swim in the gulf, or look for sharks teeth on the shore line.  The East side of the island now has a tiki bar with food, drinks and entertainment.

Visit the Manatees (Apollo Beach)

Enjoy viewing the Manatees in Apollo Beach.  Manatees come to visit the warm water discharge from Teco's power plant.  Each year hundreds of manatees come to stay warm at Apollo beach power plant.  You can visit by boat and most of the time will have manatees swim right up to you.  This can be done from November to March each winter.

Egmont Key (Maximo Park)
 

As a refuge for wildlife, the Tampa Bay island known as Egmont Key is home to gopher tortoises and myriad seabirds. As a refuge for visitors, Egmont Key State Park is located about 6 miles West of the Skyway bridge.  This beautiful island has white sand beaches and a light house to explore.  One of the most visited state parks in Florida.The leeward side of this 400-acre island has a mooring area for private boats. There is also great shelling and fishing from the island.

Harbour Island/Davis Islands
 

Put in at Davis Island and enjoy a day protected from the wind.  This location in near Downtown Tampa and allows you tor travel up and down the Hillsborough river.  There are several places to pull the boat up to and dine.  Ricks on the river is the most popular.  However there is also Ulele and Armeture works that are great choices as well.  You can also dock at riverwalk and enjoy the sites from land.

 

John's Pass at Madeira Beach (Maximo Park)

Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County’s #1 tourist attraction. This is another great location to stay protected from the wind.  It is part of the intercoastal waterway and there are numerous beaches and restaurants you can visit.

Sunshine Skyway bridge

One of the biggest cable bridges in the USA.  This bridge is a site to see by boat.  It offers fantasic views and also holds many different species of fish.  We are avid fisherman so inquire as to what is biting and we can help you plan that perfect trip.

Shell Island/Fort Desoto

This is another launch location that you get to from Maximo Park.  It is very popular for its shelling as the name suggest.  It also has very nice bathrooms and picnic areas.  This is also a location to pick if the wind becomes a problem in the open bay.

Anna Maria Island (Palmetto Fl)

Anna Maria island is a barrier island to Bradenton.  Considered the prettiest beach in the Nation.  It has beautiful soft white sand and beautiful blue waters.  Dock the boat on the beach for a picnic or head to over to several of the restaurants that offer boat access.
